I wish I had found this forum earlier because I likely wouldn't have applied for GE. Now, I have some concerns.
I received a Suspended Imposition of Sentence in my state, and after completing the requirements, I was told that no conviction would appear in my record. Now, I see that GE doesn't abide by state laws like this, so during my interview they asked about my arrest. He did inquire several times if I had pled guilty or not. I explained the situation, but their system shows no disposition. They asked me to provide that.
Here's my questions... I believe in my state the disposition will say that I pled Guilty but I was never convicted, which I assume will still mean a denial for GE. Is it worth providing this disposition (and thus adding more information to government databases) or should I simply withdraw my application (or is that more suspicious)?
Second question... if Denied, will I have problems when entering other countries in the future or when returning to the US? What has been the experience for others on here who have been denied? I'm just curious how much info CBP provides to other countries that might create headaches when traveling abroad.
Thanks for the help!
