If that's the case, certainly don't let me talk you out of Fuji.
It may be hard to do both Hakone and Fuji, as I'm not sure that there's an easy way to go from one to the other. Outside of guided package bus tours that originate from Tokyo, I'm not sure that there's a bus directly linking Hakone with Fuji Five Lakes area.
