Flew flight 22 on the new service to Chicago and returned on flight 23. The return was certainly a lot more organized so I will start with that leg.
Checked in Sunday at ORD at 3:00 PM at the AS counter in terminal 3 and had to walk all the way to the other end of the terminal at the "L" gates to go through security. The gate was really in the Delta part of the airport not AA. I proceeded to walk back over to the the AA "H" gates to enter the Admiral's Club. Walked around in there for just a couple minutes before making the 15 minute trek back over to "L." Lots of people were lounging around the gate trying to overload onto the plane. I was just in time for 1st Class boarding and took my seat. There was a delay because it was the first time that model of 737-900 had flown into ORD. Drink and food orders were taken before departure. It was a choice of a chicken or salmon dish. The chicken was better than the breaded chicken they usually have but the salmon was more popular. After take off the digiplayers will handed out fairly quickly which was great since the flight is only 3.5 - 4 hours.

Service included salad/bread, entree, and chocolate cake all served seperately but on the same tray. Movie selections were unchanged from April.

Time really seemed to fly by with the players and hot food service. Warm peanuts and water was handed out to those who were awake about an hour before landing. During the descent hot towels were distributed. The flight landed just about on time despite the delay and long taxi in ORD.
The only difference on the first leg flight 22 on Thursday was:
1) The digiplayers were handed out after dinner giving us under 2 hours to watch movies.

2) Dinner choices were pork or breaded chicken served with Line Cheesecake.
3) Small bags of peanuts instead of warm peanuts were distributed.
