I2 middle seats are usually occupied by nothing more than two pillows.

Just to add quickly to the BA experiences, I often travel alone with my 7YO and 4YO in CE. I usually put the 4YO at the window, I take the aisle and 7YO takes the other side of the aisle from me. Divide and conquer! On more than one occasion, CC have proactively asked if I want the table away so we can sit together. The only problem I've had is that quite often, they don't seem to know how to do that! Still, we usually get there in the end.
