missydarlin: Thanks for pointing out that only some circumstances merit a change fee. My experience was with a European ticket, and they said they would waive the fee (I don't know where I got the $75 from--probably the other airlines!)

ranles: This was my reaction also (not an over-reaction)--that many awards did not change at all. I think many people just jumped at the word change. My own plans for another award to Europe next year were unaffected by the changes.
