A true AS novice here, and I need a little help on this issue. I have quite a few orphaned AS miles which, with the help of FT, I have managed to build up to a Hawaii/Caribbean award level on AA. I would like to redeem for the AA ticket (for use sometime in 2002) before the redemption level increases. What are the rules/restrictions on changing the AA ticket? Is it governed solely by AA? Will it be an AA ticket or an AA award ticket?
