Another quick question:

If I've waitlisted for miles & cash upgrade, but now have received an SWU as a gift:

- is it possible to swap the instrument I want to use (it's not cleared yet)
- will the original timestamp of the request be kept, or will it be reset to the new time of request using SWU?
- and will it all be irrelevant if the flight goes to T-24 without the upgrade clearing, because at that point it's reprioritized by status anyway?

This would be a several month difference in time stamp, so I want to be sure I understand what I'm doing rather than inadvertently screwing up my upgrade chances
