Awesome! It's really the best option for western europe oneworld awards without insane taxes and fees or dated/unpredictable cabins.

I think when I booked they weren't able to do that at AA proper (or the agent didn't know how), and then I just got the IB confirmation numbers and was able to do it direct. Only trouble being this tendency whereby every few weeks lately we've been getting split up and moved all over the cabin without warning. Fingers crossed that it won't happen again.
