Introduction We arrived around 1700, easy to find just off M1, a short 5 minute drive. Do be careful if driving entrance if off a roundabout and you need to cut across a bus lane. There is automatic barrier, parking is free, always nice bonusHotel very quiet. I had done online check in. I paid £52.50 Public Sector Rate, I do work for NHS. Online i had been upgraded to King Room from Queen. I asked if room had bath, had been long drive. Only suites do. They do not offer suite upgrade online, but he gave me one with no issues. Room Room 236, front facing end corridor. 2nd floor is top floor. Good size, not biggest of suites, but very well laid out and in good order. Spacious bathroom and nice shower gel etc. Couple bottles water in room. Good wi-fi speed as well. I was not given code, and it came up with £9.99 charge, this was taken off at check out.Bed very comfy, some photos of room: Service Everyone was very friendly. Breakfast staff were great. Now fuuny thing they do have for HH members, not sure if all or just Diamond. In room card, there was a flyer to say Thurs-Sun, you can call and they send a trolley to your room with a variety of snack to choose from. I actually saw the girl in reception and took from there. She said they just started it as a special thing. It is a nice touch. They had crisps, juice, beer and sweets. Basic stuff, but take as much as you want, took a few bits for after the gym! Dining Mixed bag here As with a lot of Hiltons, if quiet they close the restaurant to save money. I do understand this, but annoying not to be told ahead of time.Room service menu was poor, went to bar. Very quiet, but crazy hot, warm air pumping out. Had fish and chips. Poor. Greasy, thick chips soaked in fat, not good.Mixed salad very goodVeggie burger - averageNot a great meal, price was okay Breakfast though excellent. Quiet again. great choice, hot plates, food hot, and proper coffee machine, so all happy! Location Not sure for the City, but from M1 very close and a good stop off. Overall Great stay for the price. Lucky it was quiet. Used the gym, on ground floor and basic, but good new machines, and well looked after This is a nice hotel, and extra touches make you feel welcome, I would use again if in area.
