I'm gold / MM - technically I get nothing for free in Y.

On last Y flight, I ordered a snack box, handed the FA my CC, and she looked at her "device", and said that payment wasn't required.

I asked her why, and she said that "I must be a 1K, or something". I was in my assigned seat.

I just let it go and appreciated the free box.

I have to say that at least 50% of my Y flights, I am not charged for drinks/snacks.
