No AC in the winter in the Minneapolis Hyatt Place Downtown
A stay last week found that the Hyatt Place Downtown Minneapolis does not have cool air conditioning from November through March.
Sure, it is Minneapolis, in the winter, so it is not like it is desperately needed, but the room hovered around 70 degrees during a 35-degree day. I suspect that a day in the mid-50s would make the room uncomfortable.
The windows were sealed, so no good way to cool off the room.
I think the website suggested it was recently remodeled, but it feels old. First floor rooms smell of chlorine from the indoor pool, so I'd recommend asking for a different floor if that is what you get.
The hotel is in a great location for work downtown, but it felt like a step down (even for a Hyatt Place).
