I fondly remember flying CP to AKL from YVR many times. Their was an HNL based crew, led by Hilton Cranston Whittaker the Third. The service was exemplary, food was served with full linen/table service, leg room was more than ample, seats were big and comfy.

I miss CP.

Edited to add: Whilst reminiscing further, I remember Capt John Sparks from the HNL crew, doing his high speed taxiing to the runway that felt like it was on the next island, highspeed turn onto the runway, then just after V2, making a sharp righ turn away form Waikiki, felt like you could reach out and touch the water. That would be the days when you could ride in the cockpit, and if you knew the right person, be there for takeoff and/or landing.
