Currently I can get five nights in the $400RMB + tax, range at either Holiday Inn Downtown Beijing OR Holiday Inn Express Beijing Minzuyuan

Is a first trip to China for DW and myself solely for sightseeing. We have a driver booked for three days of tours recommended in this group.
