First of all i want to apologize if this is a "re-post", i have been searching this thread but want to have a fresh input.

There are references in this thread (from 2013 at least) of getting a free breakfast as a HH Gold, but i believe that this is now replaced with a $10 voucher per day. How does this work together with the FHR rate? Do you get the FHR breakfast as as well as the HH Gold $10 per day?

I am looking at staying for six nights in the Ali'i tower in July, with my family (wife and 14 year old daughter). Booking through AMEX FHR and as a HH Gold, could someone summarize what benefits i would get? Is the breakfast you get as a FHR good?

Would book the resort view and hope for upgrade, thinking that FHR and Gold should result in a upgrade, or am i misstaken?

And finally, its either this, or the club room at Sheraton Waikiki, please leave feedback to help us decide.
