not sure re fairmont, but some hotels give usual double credit to single guest
sometimes hotels (YMMV etc) allow over normal published $ figure as well
FHR threads in amex forum may give idea re other programs (at fairmonts)

nock, so you cannot apply it to part of cost of buffet (price?) at that hotel?
