I have three Avis reservations coming next week in South Africa. I reserved cars well in advance - couple of month ago and saved reservations.
One one of these reservations I have following info
Volkswagen Polo Hatch or similar
Kilometers: Unlimited
Estimated Total: $95.15
Amount Prepaid: $95.15
Base Rate: $61.00
Rental Options: $0.00
Protections/Coverages: $11.30
Surcharges/Fees: $18.66
One Way Fees : $13.73
Surcharge : $4.93
Taxes: $4.19
When I went and entered my last name on Avis website with reservation code, it displayed following:
Estimated Total $96.74
Amount Prepaid (USD) 95.15
Base Rate $61.00
Mileage
Rental Options $11.30
Discount Codes NA
Fees & Taxes $202.67
$22.85 turned into $202 by modifying $13.73 one way fee to $192. It
was not in the original receipt I've received.
What should I do? I really do not want to end up either with confrontations at pickup place and stay without a car or pay above amount. Does calling Avis central line makes asking the to honor the original reservation makes any sense?
