Maybe re-read your own link? Some shorts may be allowed it appears, others not.

Leaving the punch and judy style jokes aside, can you show us a pic of said shorts OP? Or at least describe them- were they sports shorts, or tailored shorts.

I, for one, would appreciate them enforcing a dress-code policy in the lounge, but would be helpful if they published it somewhere first. Appreciate they presumable offered your F sleep-suit bottoms trying to be helpful, but these aren't appropriate for the lounge either IMHO.
