I'm looking to hire an SUV for 8/21 - 9/4 and was not particularly happy with service from Alamo last year.

I paid a premium for "standard" SUV but ended up with "midsize/intermediate". Staff weren't prepared to retrieve a specific SUV on my behalf so after a 25 minute wait, I just chose the only car available.

Does anyone have any recommendations of an LAX rental company that actually segregates SUV's properly? Alternatively, I could always do the opposite and just take advantage of the midsize rate and try and drive away in a standard?
