My experience is that even though it says it could take several days to process the redeposit while auditing takes a look at it, in practice the redeposit of miles happens almost immediately. You do need to log out and log back in to see your balance updated. What I do after a cancellation/redeposit is wait a couple of minutes, then log out and back in, and almost always I see the redeposit line item posted and my balance updated. Then I can forget about it. Only if that doesn't happen within a few minutes do I need to take note and make sure that it happens later.
