I'm really tempted to try the Marquis when I go at the end of May, but there's a few factors holding me back. Room is more expensive. Deluxe park is the same price as the executive room (not suite) at Soi 57 I booked, and the equivalent M-Club room is $1200thb/night more expensive.

Also, only gold status, so not sure I'll get an upgrade from Deluxe park to M-Club especially with fewer suites available for Plats. Then again, Soi 57 doesn't seem to give out suite upgrades for golds either, but at least I will be guaranteed an executive room that I booked.

Are my assumptions correct?
