Yesterday was my first stay as LT Diamond, it was at a Hampton I've stayed at a number of times before. I recognized the FD lady. 4:00 pm check in and I was assigned a room on the highway side of the property. I asked for the quiet side and told they were full. After 2 more queries with a smile and saying I'm sure she can find something, she changed the room to a handicap King on the quiet side. It should be much easier than this.
Upgrades are not a perk at Hamptons. If they are meeting the minimum then they are fulfilling the requirements. Staying at Hamptons what do you expect? Are you saying if they don't give you more than they are required to give they are failing? Think you need to put your expectations inline with the required benefits for the brand you are staying in. And most of the hotels are franchises so what do you expect corporate to do if they are meeting the requirements?
