Airlines just need a reason to raise their prices.
Especially JL. At a barrel price of $ 64.43 it comes out to $ 1.53 a gallon. That gives JL a reason to tag on 7,000 yen to a ticket to the U.S. They are just grasping for any additional income they can get.
Like my U.S. HOA which doesn't accept cash but charges a convenience fee 3.5 percent for a ( free ) bank transfer. Convenience for whom?
