I am a straight woman who has visited Pakistan twice. I have western friends who lived in Pakistan for many years. One still owns a home in the Karachi area. They have not been to it for 3 years. I am an adventurous traveler and have a reasonable tolerance of risk. There is no way I'd visit Pakistan now. Most westerners have left Pakistan. The handful who remain include those who are married to Pakistanis. If you can blend as a Pakistani, perhaps it is ok. For those of us who have Caucasian skin, it isn't.
