So technically, you are not entitled to retain your seats and BA can remove them, but as they are also not a stated benefit of being Gold, they can remove them anyone. In practice, reports from on here indicate that they are not usually removed unless there is a reason for them to be reviewed (for example, a change of aircraft or flight times seams to trigger it). Your flight the next day is unlikely to be effected in any case. Your partners flight is more likely to be effected.

Your options are;
1. Do nothing and just see what happens.
2. Do nothing but regularly check and consider paying for the seat you want if you do get booted (I note from a dummy booking that 2DF on the LGW320 is cheaper to reserve than 1AC). Note small risk that the seat may not be available once booted.
2. Do a quick TP run to retain Gold before your year
3. Do a quick TP run after your soft-landing to regain Gold.
4. Pay to reserve your seat from the outset, the risk of being booted in minimised down to Operational reasons.
