I wanted to go as far as possible on a Alaska Airlines award. I considered Barrow, but chose Nome.

I thought that there was very little to see in Barrow, though I could be wrong.

Nome is a fun place to see. When you rent a truck, you pick up the keys at the airline counter and come to the rental office in downtown the following morning! There's no theft because there are only 3 dead end roads from Nome.

The other far away places that I might go in the future is Kotzebue and, maybe, Dutch Harbor.
