Basically, if I were you, I wouldn't expect to get in. If you don't, I'd spend the money and go in the Holideck (other end of the terminal). I've only ever had really positive experiences in there (especially if there's any sports on, they've got a great sports bar) and if you're a plane spotter the top lounge view over the runway is excellent.

FFS... you weren't elgible to bring in a guest, the pax was travelling in WT. If BA bent the rules everytime on lounge admission, it would be standing room only at T4. No doubt you would be on here, complaining about overcrowding of the lounges.
