In your mind, what is the best way to book flight if you have the Amex Plat and Chase sapphire reserve card? Does it truly come down to how and where you want to redeem the points?

Lets use an example:

$100 plane ticket

Chase Sapphire Reserve:

100 * 3x = 300 points

Points are worth 50% more when redeemed for travel, so spending $100 on a ticket is the same as spending $450.

Amex Platinum

100 * 5 = 500 points

Amex slightly gives more value in terms of amount of points. However, I think since Chase lets you redeem at a revenue-based rate, whereas Amex Plat isnt so clear... I give it the slight edge.

Am I missing anything in my assessment? Im trying to think about if there is a more strategic way to think about this
