"From my experience the lounge guards at T4 are jobsworths. If they can deny you entry they will. Two separate examples:

1. Travelling in club, friend in WT on same flight, when I had blue status, denied entry for guest. Technically correct procedure, but for god's sake, how cheap?

2. Travelling alone in WT, silver status (just achieved, card had not come through). Silver was printed on my BP, lounge guard asked for my card, I explained it hadn't come through yet, "You should have got a letter or fax from BAEC, I shouldn't really let you in, but just this time I will, OK." No, not f*£%ing OK. I'm Silver, it says it on my BP, now let me in. (OK rant over). Again, maybe correct procedure (I'm not sure though), but how cheap?"

So you are complaining that the lounge people followed correct procedure for lounge access? That is not cheap, that is just the person doing their job well.
