Overheard on a VS flight many years ago upon landing and taxiing to the gate:
"At this time we have a tradition at Virgin Atlantic of asking for volunteers to clean the lavatories. If you wish to volunteer, please unbuckle your seatbelt and stand before the plane has come to a complete stop at the gate."

No more than 10-20 seconds later, an obvious non-English speaking man and his wife stand up and open the overhead bin, to which the entire cabin started applauding.
