Not anymore! I assume there were no Point Stretchers available for that property?

In the past year or so the Hilton has seriously devalued their program (notice they got NOTHING at the Freddies this year). They did three major things that made redeeming point a real pain:

1) They jacked the six night redemption amount by 50%-75%. What was once 100,000 points is now 150,000-175,000 points

2) They eliminated an entire category of Point Stretcher awards, Category 1.

3) The number hotels participating in Point Stretchers is a fraction of what it was last year. Entire countries have been eliminated. That means you will have to pay the full price for an award stay.

I say this with great regret as the Hilton properties have been my #1 choice in the past. Your math is right when calculating money spent to earn an award stay. Run your figures through the *Wood program and you will probably have better results.
