I like how Air Canada tried to make it sound like the pilot was one of their own rather than admit he was from Westjet.

From the article ... "Unfortunately the food service was closed but thankfully, a caring customer, an airline employee himself, so truly empathetic to the situation, stepped up," Air Canada said in a statement provided to CBC News."

An airline employee indeed ... too bad they forgot to acknowledge he is not from their airline.

Kudos to the Westjet pilot. And shame on the Air Canada staff.
