And I'll have those opinions heavy on the subjectivity, please. Hold the objectivity.

I don't like arugula. But that doesn't mean everyone doesn't. Or shouldn't.

Look, when it comes to inflight airline meals, you're never going to please everybody all the time. It's the same problem in a school or college cafeteria. I never heard so many complaints when at the same time - if you looked around - most people were snarfing it all down and not at all looking like they were in any way unhappy about it. I suspect Alaska could serve Kobe beef and lobster and still, people would complain. It goes with the territory, I guess.

Having once worked in the airlines, I have an interest in inflight catering and have for over 40 years. I'm approaching 1.5 million miles flown on Alaska Airlines, which means I've not only eaten a lot of its meals but also sat next to a lot of others eating their Alaska meals. By a large margin, the majority of my seatmates are quite pleased with what's being served - including the BBQ Sandwich.

That said, whoever's doing the catering for Alaska doesn't always get it right. Sometimes the broccoli is mushy or the bread is hard or soggy and the complaints are well deserved. I'm just saying that it's been my experience that more often than not, people seem pleased with what they've been served onboard Alaska's flights.
