I'm trying to redeem award tickets for myself and my GF from LAX to Asia. I have the points through Chase, but it requires less miles to redeem for business or first to Asia going through Korean Air rather than transferring the miles to United. However, it seems that you can only purchase reward tickets for immediate family members on Korean Air. Is there any way around this restriction other than getting a marriage license in the next few weeks?
