The DL flight was often cancelled for days in a row and DL would not rebook or endorse tickets to AS. The unreliability forced many back to AS and when DL finally started flying a 737 into JNU no attempt was made to admit their error or to repair the relationship with those that had been forced to buy last minute tickets on AS. The fault according to the VP was solely with the people of JNU.
Not that it makes a difference, but a DL 737 has the same landing restrictions as a DL CR7 into JNU. Though the 737 could loiter around longer trying to land, otherwise they have the same navigational capability. DL's mistake in JNU was thinking people wouldn't notice that AS was far more reliable due to their custom approaches into the airport.
