We also found Made (Gusti Made Anggara Arte) an excellent driver and tour guide. I used his entire name as the name "Made" is a very common name.

Made was very responsive to my emails; always on time (actually usually early); well organized and very kind. He speaks English well. We used him three times two all-day tours, one around Ubud and the other in the Central Mountain area. The third time was transfer from Ubud to the airport.

My first email requested availability for two tours within one week. I suggested our likes and dislikes and asked his advice. Made actually talked us out of one tour in favor of a different one for us. And the more he learned about us and our likes, the more he customized the tour to emphasize things he thought we'd like. We will use him again if we go back.
