Been a long time since I have seen an Air NZ trans Tasman award available, but do not look that often now. Given that real taxes are about NZ$50 and you can buy an economy fare for about $NZ200-$225 (or better) very little value in using ff miles/points. If you date is close to holidays or end/start of Aust/NZ school holidays cash price will be more.
