Aviator Red - non 10K version as well. Spent $1,600 in 2016 to qualify for the $500/3 mos = 15K offer, but otherwise none. I did pay the $89 annual fee in 2016, but I have had it waived in years past.
1 quick call - transferred from normal Customer Service to retentions (I assume). I mentioned that I have the Citi AA card as well and struggled with paying two annual fees for same benefits.
Offered the option to downgrade to no annual fee version OR waived annual fee on this product. I accepted.
She also then offered the $1K/90 days = 5K bonus miles, which I took.
Overall, exactly what I was hoping for ^
