I will never cease of being amazed of how different we all are.
In my narrow minded view, why would I care about a book in a drawer of a hotel? And furthermore, why would I be offended by same stupid book being in a drawer of the hotel. Or if such book makes me gasp, why would I go on a treasure hunt at every hotel I stay and VERIFY if the book is there or not and THEN take offense if I find such book.
Makes no sense to me.
I have never noticed the book (not consciously at least), I don't care about the book and I don't think that the book being there or not reflects in anyway how the hotel treats LGBT guests.
I would actually be happy if all there was was a book in a drawer. I find it more annoying when the hotel leaves marketing material of all sorts (spa/restaurant, internet, movies, etc) ALL over the place (even on your pillow). Some hotels are really bad at that. I always throw out all that crap to avoid clutter. Sometimes house keeping diligently sets it out all over again next day
