I literally had no idea there was an issue until this thread. I stay at lots of Marriott Group properties and actual Marriott's maybe 4-5x a year. In face the one in Napa asked my friend and I if we would rather have a room with one bed. We said we did not. In fact I was more insulted that the agent thought my friend was actually my type!
