I just flew from EWR to Panama and back while using a wheeled walker. For both flights I "gate checked" the walker just before I boarded the plane. The Gate Attendant gave me a tag for the walker both times. I had to wait a few minutes for the walker in Panama, and the walker was waiting for me when I exited the plane in Newark. It was very easy for both flights.
