I can't remember the last time I heard, 'welcome back' at a Hyatt property. And I started listening for that a while ago - after reading how hotels track their repeat guests closely.
I haven't found that to be the case. I've received some fantastic upgrades on my first stay and gotten plenty of, 'have you stayed here before' at some repeat properties. This isn't limited to Hyatts; I've had that occur at other chains where I stay often.
