I had seen some of the additional purchase options seats, lounge access(?) but didn't go for any of them, from what I researched at YYZ and YQB Priority Pass should get me lounge access. It is a family holiday so it has been planed for a while and the dates are unlikely to change, I am pretty sure I just purchased the cheapest fare available.

Thanks for all your help.

YYZ has a Plaza Premium lounge one level up from domestic departure gates; if you're clearing security in YYZ you can conveniently turn right immediately after security, otherwise I suggest taking the escalator up from depatures level. The elevator is painfully slow, filled with people who actually need an elevator, and only "required" to access Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounge. (come to think of it, quite the obnoxious contention...)

YQB actually has a very nice lounge considering the small size of the airport. The booze are less premium, but the food selection is decent.

Enjoy Quebec!
