Allocation of award seats is based on total PREDICTED demand, not how many seats are sold today. At this point, AA believes that they can sell all the seats. As we get closer to April, that may or may not change.

SAT doesn't have a lot of international travelers (i.e. Europe). SAT fares are competitive in some domestic markets; others not so much.
I think I'll just keep an eye every now and then as it is almost three months away and I don't think it goes higher than the current fare
