Thank you to all the contributors and help from FT I've had over the last couple of years. With your help and knowledge I've just hit exec club Gold for the first time and also had enough points to upgrade from CW to First for the first ever time on my trip next week to Chicago from AMS (via LHR).

I'm flying out via Austin to experience the 787 new first, and back via Washington DC to try 380 first.. with a few domestic flights in between to and from Chicago.

I'm posting as I'd love to know your thoughts on making the most out of flying in First / having the Gold card.

I've booked a brief spa treatment in LHR (why not), and am looking forward to the Concorde Room, but other than that, I don't know what to expect / do / try etc.

Any tips would be great!
