They would only count as two if they were on separate tickets (2 tickets = 2 roundtrips).

Note that the promotion is based on roundtrips, not flights or segments.

Roundtrip travel is defined as two one-way trips that depart from and return to the same co-terminal booked in a single reservation under one qualifying ticket number.
