Given that my wife is pregnant, I don't think we're looking for lots of activities/action although normally we prefer adventureous activities. We would likely still want to explore a new city (I was thinking Seattle actually, plus we have some friends there). But relaxing would be the purpose of the trip, which is difficult since beaches are basically out. And we can drive down to beaches in florida which would get the job done anyways, it's just Aruba would have been a lot more fun.
If you visit Seattle, the neighboring San Juan Islands are beautiful and a good choice for a couples' getaway. Don't expect sandy beaches - think beautiful, rocky coastline instead - but there are some exquisite B&Bs out there that would be a nice change of pace for a few days from Seattle city life, especially in the summer.
Bermuda is also a sandy beach destination that's squarely outside the Zika zone, if you want to preserve the original intent of the trip.
