Thanks for your advice. I might well have got cm and inches mixed up here, as your comparison about being half the capacity sounds about right. It does indeed have spinner wheels, where as my damaged one had two wheels that did not protrude from the bottom of the suitcase unless you tilted it. Furthermore, the width and depth of mine were much more.
I'm not that impressed with the quality of the K2 suitcase either, and I imagine that the bigger one is the same brand. Therefore, based on what you say, I guess I have to choose whether to pay £20, or just get my old one back and make do with it.

If you don't like the quality of the K2 suitcase then I guess having your old one back would be the best option. Is it still watertight, do the wheels work, and does the handle retract (if it's retractable)? Many of my suitcases are not in their original condition by any means, but I only discard them when I can no longer close them properly, or the wheels break (and wheels can often be fixed).
