I called BA in HK (original issuing office) to change a flight today. No dice.

It's the 4th leg of my ex-CAI DONE3, QR connecting to QR (the 5th leg). I just wanted a shorter connection, same day same O/D. (you know how hard it is for D-class married inventory to come by on QR...) They said they couldn't do the tax recalculation
(I have not flown the first segment)


A much greater issue is I now might have some unforeseen circumstances that would require me to change the 2nd and 3rd flights (after my first flight CAI-LHR which I can fortunately keep it intact.). I'm getting worried if I'll have enough time/access to capable agents to handle the change (layover between 1st flight arrival and 2nd flight departure is only around ~20 hours, and I would have to change the LHR stop from a transit to a stopover......)
