Isn't there a big difference between a confirmed passenger without a seat assigned and a standby passenger? I seem to remember a long time ago I was on KLM ticket stock and flew from in AMS on Delta metal confirmed but without a seat assigned. I was assigned at the gate.
Yes. The list of names contains both. Regardless unless there's a seat available to be assigned you're not getting on. Knowing the number of tickets DL is willing to sell again does nothing to tell you how likely you're to get onboard.
