Don't feel alone - as I stated previously - RSW is just as bad. Wife and I are both multi-year PM - each had over 125K MQM's in 2003. We - at times during "peak season" - have been in the back on full Y/B/M. I've learned to buy "A" - we have numerous trip changes - makes it easy to refund/change.
We've written to Gerald & Vicki (re: inventory control) - awaiting response. Many times on day of departure - F9 inventory and still no U/G on Y/B fare!
The system is broke... We never have this issue on UA or US - 90% U/G rate.
